Schools provide a learning environment for academic and social growth.  The community ensures we have responsible individuals.

Our school district is one of the fastest growing in the State of Texas.  This school year, New Caney ISD welcomed almost 15,200 students and three of those children are ours at Woodridge Forest Middle School and Porter High School.

For the 2019-2020 school year, NCISD will start the 2nd week in August and will ADD a one week fall break in October 2019, one week winter break in Feb. 2020 and spring break will be held the last week of March 2020. This new calendar was favored by >80% of the teachers, >90% of the district staff and there was 164 responses from the community with 65% in favor of the calendar change. The majority of the parents will discover the change when school actually starts. The thought is that this will give a much needed break to teachers and students. Also, there are 4 other districts that may follow this calender while maintaining the traditional Spring Break in mid-March (smart).

Hopefully with the much needed break, the academic scores of the district will improve. NCISD overall score was a C. Please see link below to search grades of the schools.
