Schools provide a learning environment for academic and social growth. The community ensures we have responsible individuals.
Our school district is one of the fastest growing in the State of Texas. This school year, New Caney ISD welcomed almost 15,000 students and two of those children are ours at Woodridge Forest Middle School. This growth requires diligence.
As the district grows and begin building new schools, it is pertinent that our children traverse through elementary learning the fundamentals of education, traverse through middle school becoming aware of who they are and why they matter and traverse through high school with a destination in mind to make them productive citizens.
While running for the NCISD Board of Trustees, I learned a lot of the community's thoughts about the district, the schools and the administrators. As I encountered individuals of various backgrounds, the common thread was better schools and ensuring that their children was receiving the best that education has to offer for them. In the coming months, our intentions are to assist those students and parents who may need a little help to move from the classroom to the real world.
