A Poem of Inspiration

As I campaign for the New Caney ISD Board of Trustees and I meet new people along the way, I realize the task of being a board member will not be easy.  Being a board member will require work and continuously educating one's self about what is important for the students, the teachers, the community, the administrators and the overall district.  Thus, one of the sections from IF by Rudyard Kipling (1895) keeps me focused:

"If you can make one heap of all your winnings and risk it on one turn of pitch and toss, and lose, and start again at your beginnings and never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew to serve your turn long after they are gone, and so hold on when there is nothing in you except the Will which say to them: "Hold on"....."--If by Rudyard Kipling (a portion)
